Following a successful career as a semiconductor research scientist at Zenith Radio and Oxford University, Dr. Levy worked for the British and Canadian governments specializing in energy efficiency and energy services in non-residential buildings. He then assisted create and lead several utility-owned unregulated private sector businesses in building energy & water use, power and natural gas procurement. He was responsible for acquisitions and corporate development for a leading North American insurer of equipment breakdown. In 1989 he formed his current consulting practice.

 

He was a founding board member and for several years President of the Canadian Association of Energy Services Companies (CAESCO); board member of NAESCO (US) and chaired several committees of the IESNA. Dr. Levy was a founding member of the Ontario Energy Association and is included in the Canadian Who's Who. He has published over eighty articles and scientific papers on electricity deregulation, energy efficiency, energy management, lighting, physics, chemistry, and held Canadian and U.S. patents

Ted Molczan,
Principal

Cathy Joyce is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of experience in the fields of communications, sustainability, energy & water management, marketing, revenue generation, program development and project coordination in the private, utility and municipal sectors. 

 

Cathy has spent much of her career in the energy industry holding executive level positions, which included her selection as a member of the executive team for the amalgamation of several Canadian utility companies. Following a position as Global Communications Manager for Magna International she returned to the public sector with a portfolio comprised of Marketing, Revenue Generation and Community Relationships.

 

Cathy has served on several Community Boards including the Children’s Safety Village of York Region, responsible for fundraising $3.2 million dollars. She is the recipient of many awards including a Solicitor General’s Award of Excellence, International Law Enforcement Video Award and York Region Woman of the Year nomination.  Cathy is a strategic thinker, recognized for her collaborative and team focussed approach, with a strong emphasis on client relations.

 

For the last decade Cathy has devoted all her time to the AWL Group receiving outstanding commendations from AWL clients for her technical knowledge, team building and smooth project executions.

 

Ted Molczan has over 35 years continuous practical experience in energy efficiency, energy analyses and data management. He is widely regarded as an industry leader and expert in measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings having audited energy cost savings in over 26 million square feet of floor area.

 

Following graduation in energy management technology, Ted spent almost a decade in all aspect of energy and water use for a major industrial food company. Since that time he has been responsible for forensic energy evaluations in hundreds of buildings across North America, developed highly successful energy analysis, sustainability and energy procurement software and selected as an expert witness to resolve energy savings disputes. Notwithstanding the above, Ted has even found time to be one of the world’s leading amateur spy satellite trackers as featured on 60 Minutes:
